🐦 Visit RSPB Bempton Cliffs: Discover Flamborough:Discover Flamborough
Just a few minutes from Thornwick Bay, Bempton Cliffs is one of the UK’s best spots for birdwatching. From April to August, you can see puffins, gannets, and razorbills nesting on the cliff faces.
Even if you’re not a birdwatcher, the views alone are worth the trip. The visitor centre has great viewing platforms, and kids love spotting the puffins close-up.
It’s a fantastic day out — and only a few miles from our caravan site.
🏖️ Relax in Bridlington or Filey
If you fancy a traditional seaside day out, Bridlington is just down the coast. It’s got everything you’d expect — arcades, beach huts, donkey rides, and of course, fish and chips by the harbour.
For something quieter, Filey is perfect — wide beaches, friendly cafés, and a lovely old-fashioned charm that makes you slow down and breathe.
Both are under half an hour’s drive from Thornwick Bay, making them ideal day trips.
